Who do I make my rent check out to?
Rent checks are to be made out to Hodara Property management unless instructed otherwise. As they say, Mo’ Money Mo’ Problems…
Where do I send my rent check?
Checks are to be mailed to Hodara Property Management 468 Commonwealth Ave. Boston, MA 02215
When is my rent due?
Rent is due on the 1st of the month. Be sure to put the rent in the mail BEFORE then so it arrives at our office on the 1st. The earlier it arrives, the happier we are!
Who do I contact for maintenance?
Please fill out a maintenance request form, available here, and email it to maint@hodaraprop.com. We will respond to your email promptly and we strive to have your issues addressed within 48hrs.
Can I sublet my room?
Of course you can sublet your room! However, remember that your name is on the lease. Be sure you choose a subletter you can trust! You are still responsible for any unpaid rent or damage caused by the subletter.
What utilities have to be in my name?
This varies from property to property and on the terms of your lease. Typically electric, gas and internet/cable are all the responsibility of the tenant. Visit the websites below for information on setting up accounts.

I want to renew my lease, what do I have to do?
First, notify us of your intent to stay as soon as possible. This way we don’t show your apartment to prospective tenants! Returning residents are always the best! Then we will get you all set up signing new leases and notifying your co-signers of your extended rental period.
What do I do with trash?
Trash is to be placed in the bins outside of your residence. WARNING: Do not overfill the bins. If the barrels are overfilled or if there is trash on the ground around the bins, you will receive a ticket from the sanitation department which YOU will be responsible for. This will also create rodent problems (Gross!) Trash that will not fit in a barrel can be placed on the side walk ON THE DAY OF trash removal. You have been warned! I lost my key, how do I get a new one?
A replacement key can be picked up at 7A’s Locksmith. You must notify us before hand so we can authorize the new key. We don’t want to give keys to just anybody!
I locked myself out, what do I do?
For afterhours lockouts please contact Barry at 7A’s Locksmith. The minimum charge for a service call before 12am is $75 which is due upon the opening of your door! Barry is grumpy so make sure you are extra nice or he will charge you extra!
