Community Investments | Hodara Properties

From day one, our goal has been to change the image of real estate professionals. One of the ways we have done this is through constant philanthropic ventures to improve the community:

We have a passion for helping people follow their dreams.  in the Fall of 2010, Alex Hodara, Julian Jung, Vin Vomero, and Jon Hyatt set out to find talented and motivated individuals that needed a helping hand. They documented their journey in "Making Moves" (http://WatchMakingMoves.com).  In four 22 minute documentaries, the team traveled across the US to inspire other move makers.  With an extensive and diverse board of directors, they gave advice to each person they visited and brought exciting surprises like:

  • a visit and advice for a video producer from the famous Youtube celebrity Brett Broski
  • a connection to the captain of BU's hockey team for a young hockey player looking to play D1 college hockey
  • a new website, twitter page, and facebook page for a cake company in Las Vegas
  • a feature in a popular magazine for a clothing company from Mia

--

Hodara sponsored BU's Habitat for Humanity, who were raising funds to sponsor a house for a family in the greater Boston area.

--

Hodara sponsored OYFC's web development.

--

In honor of Hodara's 10th sale of 2011, he donated $5 for every like he got on his facebook post.  113 friends clicked like, and Hodara donated to his alma mater Boston University's School of Management.

--

Hodara's a big fan of the music industry and sponsored a contest through F2DD to see who could make the best song over the best of "Look at Me Now" by Busta Rhymes.

After an episode of Making Moves was released, Hodara tweeted that if musician B.o.B. retweeted the link to the latest episode he would donate $350 to Guitars in the Classroom.  B.o.B. retweeted the episode, and everyone won!
